Fozzie in Athens
February 2016
Fozzie wasn’t really familiar with big fat Greek weddings and hadn’t heard much about Greek mythology either. But when he learned that Aphrodite made Polyphonte fall in love with a bear, he just had to visit the Greek capital. Guess what? He fell in love too. With the city and its people. Athens.
- It’s the parliament buildung. You hardly recognise it when there are no protests in front of it.
- I wonder what they are showing today here.
- They probably did the same when Spyridon Louis finished first in the marathon of the 1896 Olympic Games.
- Is she Polyphonte? And where actually is she touching me?
- Let’s move on to the Acropolis. Let’s see if it is just as nice as on the ticket.
- I had to travel to 50 countries to encounter a strict no-bear-photography rule here. Not a joke. It happended twice that a guard forbid me to take a selfie.
- If they don’t allow me to take pictures up there, I’ll simply take them from a distance.
- I am orange by nature. The Acropolis only glows during sunset.
- Look closely. I am sure you can spot the port of Piraeus in the distance.
