Fozzie in Khao Sok NP
June 2019
After having been to many big cities, Fozzie develops an increasing interest in nature’s beauty. Scenic limestone karsts landscapes as in Vang Vieng, Ninh Binh and Halong Bay seem to attract him more and more. Guilin in China is still on his list. But Guilin has a little sibbling. Cheow Lan Lake lies in the heart of Khao Sok National Park. And guess what? It has limestone karsts too. Fozzie rented a big long tail boat all for himself. Let’s follow him to Thailand. Fozzie in Khao Sok NP.
- That is the most amazing private pool I ever had. Out of bed into the pool. With an amazing view.
- Rajjaprabha Dam Reservoir (that’s what the sign says) sounds a bit technical. So I thought I should add some natural beauty.
- Wow, I have the whole boat to myself. And the life vests are way too big for me. So I am allowed to go without.
- Amazing how turquoise the waters are. Or emerald? This lake has only been here for 30 years now.
- So this is the spot that they call the Guilin of Thailand. So beautiful. Fozzie in Khao Sok NP.
- This is probably the most comfortable way of traveling on a long tail boat. Don’t think of Rose and Jack.
- The faster the boat goes, the better my polka dot tie flies in the wind. Good you don’t see my ears flap.
- But Khao Sok NP has more than just the lake. Mountains and rivers everywhere. I feel like in the jungle. Where are the elephants?
- You can do rafting on bamboo rafts here. I didn’t dare to go. That brown water is so difficult to wash out of my fur.
- A drink by the pool. The best way to call it a day. Lucky bear, lucky me.
