Fozzie in Mexico City
June 2017
What comes to your mind when you hear about Mexico? White beaches, Mayan pyramides, tequila and tortillas? Well, there’s more.
In the heart of the country it has a city that is built on what used to be the capital of the Aztec empire, Tenochtitlán.
Two days is just long enough to try some mezcal and mixiotes, but too short to dive into the buzzing city life of CDMX, or as you may know it: Mexico City.
- Sometimes it is wise to just stand still for a while and let the world turn around you.
- They call this square Zócalo. And it’s huuuuuuge.
- You just have to get up early enough to watch a nice sunset.
- Alameda Central is just the right place for a short break during sightseeing.
- It’s easy to make friends in Mexico.
- It’s Mexico. Remember to always have your sombrero with you.
- Did you know? The SEARS department store is the best place to look at the Palacio de Bellas Artes.
- This reminds me of the Berlin victory column, Siegssäule.
