Fozzie in Tbilisi
August 2018
“Georgia on my mind”? No, Fozzie, not the US state of Georgia. The orginal one, the proud country in the Caucasus region at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. And what a nice place its capital Tbilisi is. Hard to pronounce with the Georgian love for combining consonants, but lovely to stroll through the streets of the old town. Fozzie objected of having his photo taken while he was enjoying himself in the famous hot sulfur springs. Still there were other opportunities to see him discover Tbilisi. Gorgeous Georgia.
- One puppet outside, many puppets inside. This is the Tbilisi puppet museum from 1937.
- I’m so strong, I can hold the Bridge Of Peace with only one hand.
- The holy Trinity Cathedral may look old but it was only completed in 2004.
- Don’t forget to bring your towel when you visit one of the famous sulfur baths.
- Georgians would say this is Mtkvari river, you can just say Kura river.
- The old town may already look nice at daytime, but wait until it gets dark.
- At nightime it becomes even more beautiful.
