Fozzie in Tunis
February 2017
Back at school in history class Fozzie had heard a lot about Carthage, the Phoenicians and the Punic Wars. But only when he arrived in Tunisia he realized where all of that took place. During his short visit he immerses into the atmosphere in the historic medina of its capital Tunis. What an adventure for a small bear.
- With a sunrise over the city like that, I just can’t stay indoors.
- Bab El Khadra gate is one of the entrances to the historic medina.
- The streets can be too narrow for cars, but wide enough for bears.
- Thé à la menthe et aux pignons – you should try. It’s typically Tunisian.
- I assume this is the letter ‘n’ – as in Tunis.
- As soon as you leave the narrow streets and get onto the nice terraces the sky is suddenly wide open.
- Did you know that Tunisia is famous for it’s wonderful, handcrafted and elaborately decorated doors?
- Only after this picture I was told that it is forbidden to take pictures here.
- Don’t confuse the Tunisian flag with the Turkish flag. They look so similar.
