Fozzie in Vientiane
December 2018
Fozzie’s trip to Laos began on the banks of the Mekong River in Luang Prabang. Roughly 450km further downstream it comes to an end in Vientiane. After having to been the most scenic parts of Laos, the capital doesn’t reveal its charme at first sight. But if you look closely enough you’ll find some hidden treasures. So does Fozzie. Fozzie in Vientiane.
- You might think the white disc in the Lao flag represents the moon. But no, it stands for peace and unity.
- No matter where you are, always pay resepct to the local religious places. Fozzie in Vientiane.
- This Arc de Triomphe copycat is called Patuxai. Interestingly enough it commemorates the independence from France.
- Laos’ national flower is the Plumeria alba. Isn’t it beautiful?
- The Mekon River is much wider as in Luang Prabang, but the sunset isn’t less beautiful.
