Fozzie in Srinagar
March 2015
Fozzie has seen a couple of big cities all around the world. Sometimes it can also be very interesting to be a little more off the beaten tracks. The Kashmir region in very northwest of India defnitely is such a place. Too bad his stay was way too short to discover everything that the city if Srinagar has to offer.
- Let’s see. Where should I go to first?
- This must be the Southern part of Dal Lake with all those famous houseboats. And the Hari Parbat fort in the distance.
- This is what is left of the Zero bridge over Jhelum river. It’s wooden even.
- Lal Chowk and its bell tower. Isn’t it nicely clean here?
- Famous Dal Lake. Or is it Lake Geneva? No, they don’t have any Shikara boats in Switzerland, I guess.
- I realized that earlier. Those Indians, they really love me.
- Shalimar Bagh, a huge garden. This is what the Mughal Emperor built for his wife. 400 years ago.
