Fozzie in Hong Kong
December 2014
People are still in the streets in order to fight for truly democratic elections when Fozzie visits the former British colony in early December. He particularly likes the culture’s mix in a place where East meets West. Even when the city doesn’t really smell like a “Fragant Harbour”, as it’s name suggests. But of course it’s official name is way less colourful: Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.
- It’s not a large vase! It’s the Hong Kong orchid that is also in the flag.
- No, don’t ask. I don’t know him either.
- Even a traveling bear can only feel free in places that respect fundamental democratic rights.
- I like the new Central waterfront promenade.
- What a hike it was up to here. And now it is so misty.
- No trams here in Kowloon, but the busses look exactly the same.
- If only I would understand what all these signs say.
- Wow, now this is a skyline. So happy to be here.
- I already made a new friend. It seems little McDull is quite famous here.
